GAMEPLAY
Entry for Pride Jam HKI 2025, Excavation earth is based on the theme "under the surface.". Inspired by the misgendering of historical women who were buried with weapons or armor. The game is coxy, light-hearted and the ending is influenced by the observations you make.
Role & duties
—Programmer: character contoller, narrative system, level elements, UI.
DESIGN CHALLENGES
We had several artists and two professional writers so we decided to make a text-heavy game. I feel the writing is the strongest part of the game and while not clearly stated the observations the player make do actually influence the ending conclusions the character makes - there are a few different options.
